The Leica ACE600 is a high vacuum thin film deposition instrument for FE-SEM and TEM sample preparation. It can produce carbon films as thin as 1.4nm or deposit fine-grained metal films to improve e-beam analysis of non-electrically conductive samples. It can also be used to glow discharge TEM grids. This is not a fabrication tool and cannot be used to produce films over 20 nm of thickness.
